I never imagined leatherwork would change my life. In 2019, after retiring from local government, my husband and I moved to the Texas Hill Country to enjoy our next chapter. But just as that dream began, we received devastating news: he was dying of cancer.
In the quiet moments of caregiving, I began crafting with leather. It started as a way to cope. A creative escape. But over time, it became something more: healing, hope, and the beginning of a new purpose.
It was my late husband who encouraged me to turn that spark into something real. We named it together: Living The Dream in Bluffton, a reminder that even through grief, beauty can rise.
Today, I create handcrafted leather bags, including concealed carry handbags designed for women who want both safety and style. Every piece is made by hand with care, quality, and intention.
I’ve since remarried and am grateful to have a loving and supportive husband who now helps me keep the dream alive. Together, we continue to build this story-one bag at a time.
